Monje Nudista is an unorthodox chilean improvisation trio. In the lonely track for this album, ensayo secreto (secret rehearsal), the band sailed from noise to hip hop, joining the survey on the film towards the implacable outcome of death. Devastating soundscapes clasp in the verge of feral punks riffs, while a mumbled excerpt from Bolaño's 2666 seems -at first glance- incongruent with the peaceableness on the screen. Incongruent as life becoming death.
Recording live on stage in November 2008, the soundtrack -or more especifically scores for the film- is one of the most acclaimed records from Monje Nudista, unfortunally one of their lasts tracks before going on hiatus in 2009.
